Resolution to Endorse Joint Political Education Event with Peralta Federation of Teachers
Submitted by Maddy GW, Michael S, and the Labor Solidarity subcommittee
Whereas the Labor Solidarity subcommittee of the East Bay DSA Labor Committee is committed to building EBDSA’s capacity to support labor struggles in the Bay Area,
Whereas EBDSA has historically placed a high priority on supporting the struggles of education workers,
Whereas workers at Peralta Community College District, as well as Peralta Federation of Teachers staff supporting them, wish to partner with EBDSA on a joint political education event to teach the community about PFT’s contract fight, and the ongoing injustices being committed by PCCD management,
Therefore be it resolved, East Bay DSA endorses a Political Education Teach-In at Berkeley Community College on September 20, 2022, planned and promoted as jointly hosted by PFT and EBDSA and featuring speakers from both parties,
Therefore be it resolved, East Bay DSA appoint MV W., Michael S., and Maddy Grace W. as representatives to the coalition planning the Event,
Therefore be it resolved, that the chapter will advertise and recruit for the event using our internal recruitment tools
Therefore be it resolved, that the chapter approves up to $200 for event planning.
Ana Mora Data Access Request

Whereas Ana Mora has volunteered to support the chapter by assisting with NationBuilder email trafficking,
Whereas Ana has been trained in both the technical operation on NationBuilder and established chapter practice of email communications,
Therefore be it resolved, that Ana Mora be delegated the appropriate permission set in the chapter’s CRM to send emails and other operations approved by the committees and by chapter leadership.
Be it further resolved that Ana is authorized only to use chapter member data on condition thatshe does so in accordance with the existing data use policies laid out by the East Bay DSA operations committee.
Paul Grad Data Access Request

Whereas Paul Grad has volunteered to support the chapter by assisting with NationBuilder email trafficking,

Therefore be it resolved, that Paul Grad be delegated the appropriate permission set in the chapter’s CRM to send emails and other operations approved by the committees and by chapter leadership.
