Candidate Statement: Maura M.

Before my recent election to the EBDSA Steering Committee I worked nationally with DSA’s SocFem Working Group. I shared childcare resources, consulted on projects addressing homelessness, and helped plan “Cancel Kavanaugh” protests.

DSA must be an accessible, age inclusive, multi racial, LGBTQIA space.

We must connect social reproduction to the anti-capitalist struggle and center feminism in our socialism.

As a national delegate I will advocate for:

• a more inclusive, intersectional, diverse, movement
• building coalitions within our international communities
• centering the struggles of our comrades who are the most oppressed
• strengthening DSA’s eco socialist feminist culture
