Candidate Statement: Matt T.

My aim attending the convention is to support building the infrastructure needed for working class people to have their demands met through direct action. In the past year, local groups such as the Anchor Union and TANC, comprised with a presence of DSA affiliated people, engaged in the work needed to confront capitalism on a mass scale through building power in labor and tenant organizing. The convention is an opportunity to foster connections & advocate for groups in other chapters engaging in local, class-based organizing. Let’s consider a diversity of tactics we can utilize and sustain beyond electoral politics.
