Candidate Statement: Allie L.

I’m an incoming At-Large Member of the Steering Committee, Co-Chair of the Social Housing Committee and co-managed the Prop 10 and Hayward Rent Control campaigns, and a leader for social media/communications and SocFem Caucus. As a delegate candidate, I believe DSA should embrace democratic, bottom-up models of campaign development that connects local struggles with broader movements. At the convention, I would support resolutions and candidates that empower local chapters, institutionalize leadership development and recruitment strategies, use strategic electoral campaigns to build our movement, embrace a diversity of tactics around labor organizing, and enshrine socialist feminist, anti-racist principles nationally.
