Notice of Steering Committee Special Election

Steering committee member Jack M. is relocating and resigning from the East Bay DSA Steering Committee effective October 1, 2019. His contributions as a chapter leader and an at-large member of the Steering Committee have been invaluable. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

We will be holding a special election for the open at-large seat during the October general membership meeting, scheduled for October 13.

Any member in good standing is eligible to run for the Steering Committee and must be nominated by 10 members in good standing before 11:59 p.m. on October 3 to be on the ballot.

You may nominate a fellow member for the at-large Steering Committee seat using this form.

Candidates receiving 10 or more nominations before midnight on October 3 will be notified and asked to submit a candidate statement.

The election will use the ranked-choice, Scottish single-transferable voting (STV) method and will be run by an election committee appointed by the chairs of the Steering Committee. Please direct any questions or concerns to info@eastbaydsa.org.

• October 3, 11:59 p.m.: Deadline for at-large Steering Committee member nominations 
• October 13: Election at October general membership meeting
