Reminder: Renew Your Dues
Comrades, it is that time of year when many of us joined DSA after Trump was elected. The surge of interest in socialist politics in general and our beautiful organization specifically is incredible. But this mass enthusiasm also poses a huge organizing challenge: It means that in the coming months, many of us will need to renew our membership. Being independent means we don't take any money from corporations, government, or the 1%. We are funded by the dues of working people so that we can fight for our liberation as working people.
Please renew your membership and with it your commitment to solidarity, class struggle, and liberation. If you switch to monthly dues, that means you never have to worry about your membership expiring again! We urge you to do the same so that we can ensure the long-term success and stability of DSA and our collective project.
We have accomplished much in our chapter and nationwide this year. We have a long way to go before we abolish capitalism, and, if we are to succeed, we must all collectively own our organization and our work together. After you renew your dues, we ask that you reach out to a comrade and ask them to renew their dues. Have a conversation about your involvement in DSA, what has engaged you, and what a socialist future looks like to you. And, with all the holiday parties we are attending and time spent with loved ones right now, maybe, you can reach out to that #StillBernie friend and convince them to join.
