Join Actions at the "Global Climate Summit" in September

East Bay DSA has endorsed actions at the "Global Climate Action Summit" September 8–14, 2018 in San Francisco.

The world will be watching Jerry Brown host an invitation-only, 5,000-participant summit to discuss climate action by states, regions, cities, companies, investors and citizens.

• Brown will push his phony "cap and trade" fig leaf for corporate polluters as the solution to the climate emergency.
• The summit will exclude the voices of those who question capitalist solutions and are fighting on the front lines of environmental struggles for a just and rapid transition away from fossil fuels.

We'll bring a socialist contingent and critique to the streets.

East Bay DSA will join frontline community members, indigenous activists, labor, climate justice warriors, and fellow socialists to expose the fraud of expecting capitalists to solve the crisis they created.

You are invited to help plan our part in the September actions with East Bay DSA's Climate and Environmental Justice Caucus at our next meeting: Thursday, July 19, 5:30–7:30 pm, Sports Basement, 2727 Milvia St. in Berkeley.
