Elect democratic socialists and win socialism in our lifetime!

I’ve had a great time in East Bay DSA, but canvassing for Gayle McLaughlin and Jovanka Beckles has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had since joining.

My last time out canvassing, I knocked on a door and wound up having a 15-minute conversation with two Oakland residents who we had door-knocked before about single-payer. They were thrilled to see DSA back at their doorstep, are excited to vote for Gayle and Jovanka, and are now interested in coming to our Socialist Night School and getting involved with our campaigns.

Join me this Saturday to get involved in our canvassing effort—even if you’ve never canvassed before, we’ll prepare you and pair you with someone who’s done it before. And, we’re kicking the day off with a rally with Jovanka Beckles at 10 a.m.!

Every door we knock, every conversation we have, and every flyer we leave behind is putting us one step closer to putting real, bona fide democratic socialists in office in Sacramento! Winning these elections will mean seriously advancing our fights for passing single-payer in California, repealing Costa-Hawkins, winning universal rent control, expanding public education, and fighting for free college.

This election is just one of the many ways we're building power and spreading socialism across the East Bay, establishing us as a serious political force. People know us and recognize us. They love our politics. And they're excited that we're serious about winning these elections—and winning socialism in our lifetime!
